PLAYORENA is an innovative program for parents, caregivers, and their children from three months to four years of age. PLAYORENA is a fun filled play experience packed with skill developing activities. A child entering PLAYORENA is quickly drawn into the brightly colored soft environment filled with all kinds of specially designed play/learning equipment on which to climb, slide, bounce, rock, roll, balance, or just explore and create new games. There's lots of interaction between children and enough activities so that we don't have to say "wait for your turn!!" Adults stay with their children during the 45 minute classes, and have the opportunity to meet other parents, and to observe other children in a supportive atmosphere.
PLAYORENA classes include lots of group activities (participation always optional), as well as, time for individual exploration. gathering around the "MAGIC BAG" with a new activity each week is always a hit. And lots of songs, mucic and rhythm accompamy all the activities. Obstacle courses are always new in our "Toddler"and Runner-Jumper" classes and gentle massage to song is a pleasure for the "Hello-World, First-Steps" crowd. Bubbles are fun for all!!
We know that "Play is a Child's Work". Just watch a child learning to climb on the tot-sized climber, or a first time walker safely negotiating the fosm steps and the value of the experience becomes clear. At PLAYORENA we find that children are naturally drawn to the activities and equipment that provides the practic they need for their own individual development. Each child developes at his or her own pace and PLAYORENA is designed to encourage at every stage. Success builds of success and successful experiences build self-esteem.
